Killington is back on track!
Finally, Killington seems to be getting back to it's roots by laying down early snow (note the cloudy haze from the snow guns in use).
Rumors abound as to an opening date. It seems realistic for an October 23-24 date, if the weather is cooperative. Otherwise, it will most likely be the beginning of November. Or,............perhaps a spooky, snow on the pumpkin Halloween Opening****

Gore has More Construction!
It's Official!
Well, it's official! Ski season began yesterday with the opening of Loveland, Co and another resort in California. On a more personal note, I mounted my first pair of skis yesterday: It was a pair of Fischer fat skis, too fat for the Tyrolia jig I was using. I think that A-Basin is opening today. I'll look into it.

Let the Snow Fly!!!
We're ready. Everyday, my skiing and riding friends and I check in with each other: "I heard it was snowing at Killington!". "My friend said it was snowing up in Minerva the other day". "Did you hear that Utah and Colorado are getting snow?". Yes, we are counting down the days just like we have been doing all summer except now, due to a rumour that Killington is going to try to open on November first, we are now counting in days instead of months. Yes, we're ready!!!
